Courtney P. Lacey LLC · Courtney P. Lacey · The School of Learning
Effective date: October 27, 2026 (UTC).
1. Operator and scope
Courtney P. Lacey LLC, an Ohio limited liability company formed February 27, 2026, is owned and operated solely by Courtney P. Lacey and operates the Courtney P. Lacey website, The School of Learning educational platform and Inner Authority coaching methodology. Courtney currently resides in Texas. The business operates virtually. Residential and mailing addresses, EIN and private registration documents are not publicly displayed. Any legally required additional business contact disclosure must be resolved before the applicable service is offered. These terms cover website use, School accounts and learning features, inquiries, applications and bookings. Paid offers are governed by their specific approved agreements and disclosures. No residential or mailing address is published. These terms do not select an exclusive governing law or venue.
Contact for general inquiries, privacy, account deletion, coaching, cancellation, refund, legal and student-support requests: notify@courtneyplacey.com. The Privacy Policy describes information handling, not blanket consent to all processing.
2. School eligibility and accounts
The School of Learning's online student and coaching services are intended for adults aged 18 or older. Registration requires age self-confirmation and email verification; it does not verify age through identification documents. Students must use their own accounts, provide accurate account information and keep credentials private. Sharing login credentials or using another person's account is not permitted. Contact notify@courtneyplacey.com for account-access or suspected-compromise assistance.
Speaking engagements and institutional programs involving minors are separate services governed by appropriate institutional arrangements.
3. International access
Free adult learning resources may be available internationally, subject to applicable restrictions. For paid coaching, international prospects may submit an application, but Courtney manually reviews international eligibility — including applicable privacy, consumer, tax and service-delivery requirements — before any payment is accepted. Coaching is not promised to be legally available in every country, and international payments are not automatically accepted. Declared-country collection and the international eligibility/payment gate are planned, not implemented in the current website application flow. No claim of automatic international screening is made. Ohio business registration does not itself authorize unrestricted international coaching.
4. Free registration and separate paid access
Free Founding Student registration provides the student dashboard, course browsing, saved interests and access to published Free Learning resources for verified, signed-in students. It does not purchase or enroll a student in paid courses, coaching, cohorts, Apprenticeship or future membership benefits.
Free Learning remains accessible while resources are published and the student's account is active. Lifetime access is not guaranteed. Unpublished or removed resources are not available through the student section. Course access and member-library entitlements are separately authorized. Membership does not include separately purchased courses, Founders Cohort, private coaching or Apprenticeship. Paid School checkout and membership billing remain Coming Soon and inactive. Any future paid course access duration will be disclosed before purchase.
Students who complete a qualifying paid coaching purchase receive access to a private My Notebook feature; once earned, notebook access remains available for as long as the student's School account stays active, even after the coaching program ends.
5. Educational materials and intellectual property
Courtney P. Lacey LLC retains ownership of its original curriculum and educational materials. Materials are licensed for individual, personal learning, and students may download resources where downloads are expressly permitted. Unauthorized reproduction, resale, redistribution or commercial teaching using proprietary materials is prohibited. This permission does not transfer ownership of learning materials. External linked materials may have their own license conditions. This license applies only to materials the operator owns or is authorized to provide.
6. Original reflections, journals and notebooks
Students retain ownership of their original journal reflections and notebook entries. Saving an answer or note permits the service to store it and display it back to its owner for the private learning function; this operational permission is limited to storing and displaying the entries for their private learning purpose.
Student reflections, notebook contents and confidential coaching notes are not authorized for marketing, testimonials, research, publication, grading or AI training without separate, specific authorization and any necessary technical changes. The current website's access controls limit answers to their owner; administrators cannot read other students' reflections or notebooks through the application. This is not end-to-end encryption or a guarantee against privileged infrastructure access.
Saving, editing or deleting an answer does not itself mark a lesson complete. Unpublished/removed content or revoked access can hide entries without automatically deleting stored answers. Accessible answers have individual delete controls; assistance via notify@courtneyplacey.com is available for inaccessible entries or account-wide requests.
7. Educational coaching, not clinical or emergency services
Coaching and education support critical thinking, self-awareness and intentional decision-making. They are not psychotherapy, medical treatment or emergency services, and between-session support is not a 24/7 or emergency service. Professional credentials shown on the website do not convert educational offerings into licensed clinical treatment. No particular personal, professional, financial or educational outcome is guaranteed. Do not use website forms or learning journals for emergencies; seek appropriate local emergency assistance.
8. Responsible use, restrictions and appeals
Do not misuse accounts, attempt unauthorized access, impersonate others, interfere with operation or use the service unlawfully. The School of Learning may restrict or suspend accounts for harassment, fraud, credential sharing, unauthorized redistribution of materials, threats to platform security or other clearly disclosed serious violations. Reasonable notice and an appeal route through notify@courtneyplacey.com are provided when appropriate. No automatic forfeiture of paid benefits or automated account-enforcement mechanism is implemented.
9. Account closure and deletion
Students may request account closure through notify@courtneyplacey.com. Following identity verification, the intended process is to disable access and delete eligible personal information, subject to legal, tax, accounting and other applicable exceptions. Self-service closure and scheduled deletion are not operational; the internal 90-day target is not a public deletion guarantee until a working process is established. Students can export eligible notebooks before requesting closure. The Privacy Policy describes retention and request limitations.
10. Bookings, payments and paid agreements
Offer-specific agreements and disclosures govern paid services. The private session is $150 USD for 60 minutes. Stripe-hosted payment must be verified server-side before a paid appointment and Calendar/Meet invitation are confirmed. An unpaid time hold or success redirect alone is not a confirmed purchase/appointment. Cancellation through booking management does not automatically issue a refund.
Reset is $497 paid in full or two $275 payments totaling $550, with the second exactly 14 days after successful initial payment; checkout and installments remain disabled pending completion and separate approval of the payment and onboarding workflows. Apprenticeship is $2,997 paid in full as one payment after acceptance, superseding former staged purchases; enrollment requires application, conversation and acceptance. No new enrollment charges are activated by these terms.
Payment availability: Stripe remains in test mode. Do not submit real card details or treat test transactions as purchases. Live payment activation requires separate authorization and is not enabled by publication of these terms.
Written coaching notes are required as part of private coaching enrollment and remain administrator-only. Audio/video recording is separately optional and requires explicit consent; declining or withdrawing recording consent does not remove coaching access. Client grant/decline/withdrawal controls are implemented with explicit acknowledgment, identity, server timestamp and disclosure version; actual recording remains disabled. Withdrawal stops future authorization, not automatic erasure of recordings already made. Deletion requests go to notify@courtneyplacey.com, subject to applicable requirements. Coaching notes and consented recordings have an approved one-year retention target after the coaching relationship ends, subject to legal exceptions and earlier deletion requests. Retention is manual, not automatically enforced.
11. Third-party services and interruptions
Hosting, authentication, payment, email, fonts, scheduling, video embeds and external learning links involve third-party services with their own terms and privacy practices. Availability issues do not erase applicable consumer rights or approved paid-service remedies. Support and remedies for inaccessible paid materials and prolonged service interruptions require offer-specific review; no blanket release is inserted.
12. Policy acknowledgment (planned)
Registration and paid coaching purchases will require affirmative, unchecked acknowledgment of the applicable published policies, recording the accepted policy version, timestamp and authenticated user identifier. This acknowledgment mechanism is not currently implemented. Publication does not record acceptance or automatically acknowledge policies on a user’s behalf.
13. Rights, changes and legal review
Applicable privacy and consumer rights, including non-waivable statutory protections, remain preserved. This policy contains no arbitration clause, class-action waiver, broad liability release, automatic forfeiture or blanket no-refund policy. These terms do not choose an exclusive governing law or venue or restrict applicable jurisdiction-specific complaint rights.
Material policy changes will be communicated to affected registered users by email; renewed consent will be obtained where legally required. Automated notification and renewed-consent collection are not implemented; required notices and consent must be handled before material changes take effect.
